The backing plate may be needed for cutting some non-domestic and domestic roller chains. If you notice that the links are bending and not cutting properly, a backing plate will solve that issue. Please note: your die set must be pre-drilled to attach the backing plate. Bolts are not provided. If your die set is not pre-drilled, please contact us for help.
